Our Process
Our process of site creation minimizes lag time and increases user experience. In the beginning, Web Design was entirely an exercise of the creativity of your chosen web developer. You simply engaged with the best portfolio and references. In most cases a referral from the developer’s previous client would also make the decision easier. Once you made the choice of designer, You and the designer then embarked on a journey that hopefully ended with a shiny new website.
The process was long and often difficult to navigate as you tried to teach the developer your entire business. The developer faced challenges as well as his goal was to teach you the strengths and limitations of HTML. Once the site was completed, the real test began, as now the updating and manipulation of the site was strictly up to the developer which led to update fees. Today the web has evolved and so have we. As opposed to developing everything from scratch, the goal now is to use every resource at our disposal. Instead of relying strictly on the merits of one developer you now have 1000′s of designs to choose from. This serves 2 purposes, You now have access to a lot more ideas and development time is drastically reduced.
The first step in the process is still the same and as important as always. The first step is understanding the goals of the business. The subsequent steps are the product of the evolution of our process.
1. Gather and discuss requirements and business goals. At this stage a good developer expands the conversation to include the business as whole.
2. Identify existing technologies that will shorten timelines, increase user experience and improve site quality. Things like predesigned themes, cms platforms and scripts.
3. Communicate, communicate, communicate – We love emails, Facebook and Twitter, but there is still nothing like true communication and sharing of ideas and understanding.
4. Assemble the puzzle. Put all the disparate pieces together as a coherent whole.
5. Launch.
Once the project is launch it is time to measure and monitor results. Asking the tough questions like Where are our wins and opportunities for improvement.
If You are ready to move forward we can get started right away
